“My ‘cute’ face in their faces? Gin, they look more like you!” she made a face with a grin, then gavehim a look before rolling her eyes and chuckling. “It doesn’t matter about that, now. It was in the past, so I try not to remember. Don’t get too worked up about it. It was just bullies thinking they were funny.” Though she said that, the thoughts still hurt her, but she chose not to show that.
Lily watched the twins do as she did and they started floating off. “Well done you two! Keep trying!” she smiled.
“Hm?” Lily looked over at Gin and chuckled. “Don’t rush, alright? Just take it slow.” She said to him, then also pointed out so the twins could hear as well. “And once you all get the hang of using your arms, kick your legs, along with using your arms then you should eventually get it!”
“No, their hair looks like mine! They have your cute face, baka~!” He smirked and winked. “And I don’t care if it was in the past. It affected you and I’m pissed! I’ll find these bastards and cut them down!” He could see through her front, and saw the hurt it caused her. He wanted to protect his soon-to-be-bride!
And the twins too! Look at them go! Gintoki watched as they paddled around, and when Lily told them to kick their legs too, they sped off, making splashes.
“O-oi, don’t go too far!”
Lily let out a sigh and shook her head. “A lot of things affected me from my past. That’s why I’m such a nervous and doubtful wreck. But I can’t always let it get to me: they threw me in the ocean off a cliff to die. Big deal. Now I gotta move on.” She hates it when he worries over things from her past, which is why she doesn’t show how much it affected her: she prefers to smile and stay focused on the present and future.
Lily couldn’t help but laugh when they quickly dashed off with their little arm floats on! “Be careful you two!” Lily called out to the two then smiled. “I’m sure they’ll be fine. I can’t believe how quickly they learned!”
Gintoki smiled reassuringly and pressed his lips onto her forehead and cheek. “I want to change that though. I want you to feel relaxed and chill, and I’m prepared to do whatever it takes to make you that way.” He leaned in and whispered, “Even if that means I have to get down and dirty with you more than once a night~”
Gintoki waded after the two little swimming speedsters and scooped them up into each arm. “Come on, you two, let Daddy learn how to swim too oi!”

I… don’t curl mine. I just use Frizz Ease Dream Curl spray after every shower and hope for the best. My hair has had enough of hot irons for a while now. o u o;;;
